Open Source Funding with POTLOCK
2025-03-06 · 3 min read

Open source software (OSS) and public goods often rely on grants, donations, and matching. POTLOCK provides an open funding stack for exactly that: run or join quadratic funding rounds, create campaigns, and accept donations in crypto—all on-chain and transparent.
How OSS projects use POTLOCK
Projects can create a campaign to accept direct donations, apply to funding rounds (pots) that offer matching for OSS, or both. Many ecosystem rounds target open source, research, or tooling; matching amplifies small donations so community support matters.
Donors can browse projects, fund campaigns, and contribute to rounds. Funds go directly to project wallets; POTLOCK does not custody funds.
